Deadline for early registration:  Postmark by Friday, July 2, 2004.

Cost:  Novice events $10 apiece, JO/Sr. events $20 apiece, Synchro $20 per team.  

Late Registration:  $10 per diver (not per event).

All competitors will receive MEDALS with their event information on the back.

The Colorado Cup will be a travelling team trophy, awarded to TEAM CHAMPION.

Notes about Saturday's competition:

First event begins at 9:00 a.m. SHARP, with a 20-30 minute warm-up in-between events.  

EVENT 1 (9a): Boy's/Men's 1-meter
  Girl's/Women's 3-meter
HALFTIME (~10:35a): Synchro Competition (Boys, Girls, Co-Ed)
EVENT 2 (~11:45a): Boy's/Men's 3-meter
  Girl's/Women's 1-meter

TIMELINE:

6:00a:  Diving Well opens for warmup.

8:30a:  Boards are closed to the first event competitors ONLY.

9:00a:  First Events begins (Boys/Men on 1-meter, Girls/Women on 3-meter)

10:15a:  First Event ends

10:15a-10:35a:  Warmup for Synchro Events

10:35a:  Synchro Events begin

11:15a:  Synchro Events end

11:15a-11:45a:  Boards are closed to second event competitors ONLY.

11:45a:  Second Event begins (Boys/Men on 3-meter, Girls/Women on 1-meter)

1:00p:  Second Event ends.  Boards are closed.  Colorado Cup awarded...

 

  

* 9-under boys and girls (five dives):  For 1-meter and 3-meter springboard, divers will perform three voluntaries from different groups with a total degree of difficulty not more than 5.0 on one meter and not more than 5.4 on three meter, followed by two optional dives from different groups (unlimited DD).  Divers may enter any and all age groups they qualify for, but may not enter both novice and Junior on the same springboard.  Therefore, 8-year-old diver WILL be permitted to enter all three age groups (9-u, 11-u, and 13-u) if they meet the requirements of that event.  Theoretically, that diver may dive in the 9-U, 11-U, and 13-U on 1-meter as a Junior, and then 9-U, 11-U, and 13-U on 3-meter as a Novice.

2 X 3M Cheeseboards (brand new)

Diving well depth is 14 feet, separated from swimming pool by lane line.

Directions to the Pool:

From I-70 and Wadsworth, take Wadsworth north to 80th, take 80th west to Carr Drive (1/4 mile), and take Carr south.  Pool on left.

From Hwy 36 and Wadsworth/287, take Wadsworth south to 80th, take 80th west to Carr (1/4 mile), and take Carr south.  Pool on left.

 

COLORADO CUP Team Scoring:

               Novice:  1 pt for each competitor per event

               Junior:   Per Summer Nationals Scoring, 15-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-4-3-2-1 (top 12)

               Senior:  Per Senior National Scoring, 24-20-19-18-17-16-15-14-13-12-11-10-4-3-2-1 (top 16)

               Synchro:  Per Senior National Scoring, 24-20-19-18  When synchro team members are not from the same club, the points will be split evenly between team members.  Six events will be scored (Boys 13-U, Boys 14-O, Girls 13-U, Girls 14-O, Co-Ed 13-U, Co-Ed 14-O).  Participants in the Synchro are only eligible for one of those six events.
