City: Broomfield, CO
School: Broomfield HS starting in Fall 2004.
Years Diving: Started in the Fall 2003 with Sagebrush Diving.
Accomplishments: 28th at 2004 West Nationals on 1M.
4th at 2003 Hilltopper High Point (1M and 3M).
Recently (January 2005) cleared to dive on a repaired ruptured ACL (from gymnastics, of course).
Dec'05: Now back on Injured Reserve (broken fingers), but don't worry... she's qualified for State '06!!! 6-dive score of 236.0 pts!!! A new Broomfield School record!!.
Feb 2005: After meeting the 9 practices requirement, she dove in her first meet at League Championships with ONE SHOT at qualifying for State Championships. "Anyone else would not have been interested in paying that much money to only dive in perhaps one meet," exclaims Coach Kev. "She really wanted to do it for her teammates and school. It is refreshing to hear about people like Allie." Well on her way, with 252.0 pts after only 8 dives, and needing only 63 points on 3 dives, she competed her 9th dive (103b, which one judge flashed a 7 1/2 for scores). When she was getting out of the pool, a judge and a coach noticed that she had her hair tie on her wrist, and called it a day for her, issuing a disqualification. "It is one of the craziest rules in the CHSAA and National Federation rulebook, but it is a rule. I'll bet she never wears a hair tie during diving again in her HS diving career." Great job, Allie. You are still a champion in our book.
