THE WEEK OF September 30, 2002

Event Updates:  No meet at Fort Collins.  No info yet on other meets to be hosted either October 5 or 12.  More will be posted when I hear from Jack (MHDC) or Laura (TOPS).

Diver updates:  Another inspiring week.  Alex Berger has a pretty solid 103c now, on top of her other dives.  Bryce is holding steady while finishing his HS X-country season; nailed 405c upstairs on 3M, and is keeping in touch with his 5M list as well.  Esa is starting to get back into the swing... more soon.  Hannah Feuerstein is developing into a potential JO diver, nailing all her voluntaries for 5's, and landing a 103c, 202c, 302c, 402c, and working on 5223d... close!  Tyler is getting his "drive" back, and should have a new dive soon.  I miss AMY.  Brandi Gonzales is solidifying her list, and ready for more.  Katie?  Dave is at Purdue.  No report.  Emily Hanson is diving outta her MIND.  During the week, she landed a 105c (3.5 to 5), 104b (3-5), 203b (4-5), and 5124d (3-4).  Also, she landed a 101b, 103b, 201b, 301b, 401b, and 403c... on 5M.  VERY nice.  Holly?  I haven't seen Caitlyn Kelly forever.  Gymnastics!!!  Uggh.  Kaley Knafelc is at New Mexico (da Lobos).  Phil Lahnert is diving well right now... a little shy about a couple dives, but coming outta that.  Erin Lionberger is getting ready to wrap up her soccer stuff... should help her back pain out.  Landed a beautiful 201c...  Shonna?  Cassidy is outta hand... 104c, 203c, 303c, 403c, and 5122d... working on getting 5223d back, and working on solidifying his 3M and 5M lists (3M:  103b, 202c, 303c, 403c and 404c;  5M: 101b, 103c, 201b, 301c, 401b, 403c).  Jerry Molsberry is impressing as well.  His work on his 3M optionals was exceptional this week, improving on his 203b, 303c, 404c, and 5132d, and even working on a 5223d as a prep for upstairs.  Landed his first 203b on 1M.  Nicole?  Kaitlyn Murphy was a bit ill this week for diving, so hopefully, she'll be more smiley this next week.  Shawn Neer has improved by leaps and bounds, and despite cutting himself "shaving," his 202c's looked great on Thursday, and his 103b's looked great as well.  Kelsy, I miss you!  Julia had a couple AWESOME practices before initiating a burnout prevention break.  She landed her first 304c's and 204c's, and put the rest of her dives in with lotsa rips.  She's a'lookin' good, I'm tellin' ya.  Kaitlyn Patz... beautiful vols... starting to work hard on her twisters, and opts, and should find herself back on the competitive team soon.  Erin Perko... beginning to find the lines on her 101b, 201b, 301c, 401b, and 5223d... also landed her 104c and 403c.  Prepped 202c, 302c, and 5122d.  She's moving right along.  Abigail Poulter has finally gotten the 201c/301c mechanics, which is a big deal.  Her two voluntaries have gone from a potential 4-5 up to a 6-7... yummy!  402c's are also moving quite well.  Ben Raznick... kinda quiet this week.  huh?!?  Brent Reichman... finishing touches is his key right now... he has most of the dives that will make him JO, but needs to find presence in most of his dives.  Best dives right now are the 301c and 302c.  Isn't that something?  Susan is... well, kinda quiet this week, like Ben.  Must be a Boulder/Louisville thing, huh?  Sami Rose... can't say too many bad things for this week.  Landed multiple 105c's, 203b's, her first and second 303b's (YES!), yummy 403c's, and is regularly practicing 5223d and 5323d on 1M.  Next step?  Also, well done at USAFA on Saturday, landing her 105c and 203b on 3M, as well as MOST of her voluntaries on 5M (101b, 103b, 301c, 401b, and 612b).  Leslie Simonton hasn't been able to practice very much due to the USAFA closing and Coach Kev travelling, but is still keeping in touch with her dives.  Great twisters and 104c on last Saturday.  Nick Siegler is on the verge of breaking out on both boards... waiting on him to pull the trigger on a few dives that he needs to get to the next level (105c 3M, 203c 3M, 303c 1M and 3M, 404c on 3M, and 5233d on 3M).  Krystin?  Taylor is working hard on getting his 102c on 1M.  All other dives are looking great.  Heal, AMBER, Heal!!!  Saw her on Saturday, and she looks fabulous.  Just gotta heal that back of hers... Prayers Prayers Prayers.  Lindsay Walderman... all of her voluntaries are starting to line up, and she's getting it with the "pointing the toes" thing.  Her 5122d is dependable now, and she landed a couple 104c's at Air Force.  Seems to be enjoying 3M more, as well (especially 301c's).  Yeah!  Pete Wethington is finding the form of diving, which was always missing in the past.  Landed a 104c a couple times this week, and a couple 403c's on 3M.  Jill Wierzba is regularly landing her 104c now, and is scoring high on her 201a.

Shutdowns/Cancellations:  All practices will be held as scheduled.
